Community and Creativity
[What else do we do?]
You may have read somewhere in our marketing or here on our website that we are more than just a hair salon. What do we mean by that? Well, read on and see some of the amazing things we have had the fortune to be a part of…
In October we were asked to style the models for the 59th Annual Linly Heflin Scholarship Fashion Show. The event provided scholarships for Alabama women attending Alabama colleges and universities. The show was held at The Club, featuring the fashions of Haute Hippie and the latest fashions from Gus Mayer with special involvement by stylist Tracy James. Our entire team was on location and styled each model. We also brought complimentary gift boxes for every guest. The experience was both educational and beneficial to our team. Community involvement is key to igniting opportunity and allows us to be a part of something bigger. We thank all of those involved for the opportunity. If you’re interested in attending in 2018 please click on the link above for Linley Heflin and see how you can be a part of this very special occasion.
We’ve also been fortunate to have forged a relationship with local and legendary photographer Liesa Cole. After asking Liesa to photograph our staff and salon, she’s invited us to be a part of several shoots for B-Metro Magazine and other media projects such as Levy’s Fine Jewelry’s first online digital catalogue (photo shot above by Liesa Cole). Please visit our Work Gallery to view some of these special opportunities and the results of our partnership. For stylists, seeing your work in print is a completely different experience and really feeds the creative side of your brain.
We love to be a part of events, shows and opportunities that make a difference in our community and to help fuel our talents. If you think of a way for us to be involved in your event please do no hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email. We will give it huge consideration!
Meanwhile, keep an eye out on our Work Gallery to see what the talented artists are up to….
